A First World War Nursery Rhyme

Fire away, fire away, soldier man,
Kill all the Germans as fast as you can,
Bomb them and shell them for the sake of old E.,
And come back quite safely to Baby and me.

From an old school magazine, The Mortonia.
Based on one of the earliest known nursery rhymes and clapping games. [Wikipedia]

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake baker's man
Bake me a cake as fast as you can
Pat it and prick it and mark it with "B"
And put it in the oven for baby and me.
