Joseph and Edward Sabine, naturalists of Tewin

The Hertfordshire Naturalist 2011 contains a lengthy article on Joseph (1770-1837) and Edward Sabine (1788-1883) naturalists of Tewin and I have reproduced the genealogical introduction.

  1. Anthony commented: It might be appropriate to add a note about Elizabeth Juliana Sabine, the lady commemorated on the plaque. In addition to assisting her husband, she translated Alexander von Humboldt [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_von_Humboldt] and the translation, "Aspects of nature, in different lands and different climates; with scientific elucidations," appears still to be in print.
